Robert Kennedy was born on November 20, 1925. He was born to Joseph and Rose Kennedy and had eight other siblings. His father was a politician and was the Ambassador to Great Britain or a.k.a. the United Kingdom. His brother John Kennedy or "Jack" was the 35th President of the United States. Kennedy furthered his education at Harvard University and then decided to go to law school at the University of Virginia. He was a lawyer in the Department of Justice and tried people for being Communists during the Red Scare. After this he decided to help his brother John run for President. Robert had a very large family that included his wife and eleven children. They all lived on his Virginia estate. Kennedy wanted Civil Rights just as much as his brother did. When his brother was named President he was named U.S. Attorney General. After his brother died he was Attorney general for President Lyndon B. Johnson and then decided to run for New York and be in the United States Senate. He won the election and worked on Civil Rights. Later he thought he should run for President. He decided to run. That would be his downfall because he was shot and killed outside of his hotel room. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery with his brother John.
